TITLE: METHODS ANALYST

 

ORGANIZATION UNIT:

Transmission and Distribution

APPLICABLE TO: St. Louis City and County DUTIES:

 

Under general supervision, to conduct the study, development, revision, installation, and follow-up of methods and procedures for effecting improvements and simplifications in all functions of T & D operations; and to do related work as required and assigned. Also, to serve as a leader in assigning, directing and. reviewing the work of other employes. In. this connection to perform details of work such as:

 

Develop methods and procedures, write instructions, reconcile differences and obtain agreement on proce­dure changes, and advise and assist line supervisors in the institution of new or revised procedures until. their workability is demonstrated.

 

Develop and participate in studies and make recom­mendations concerning possible changes in organiza­tional arrangement of functions and manpower requirements.

 

Participate in the preparation of annual construction and operating budgets for all T & D functional responsi­bilities.

 

Prepare, maintain and interpret instructional material, including manuals and work practices relating to methods and procedures.

 

Develop, implement and carry out statistical surveys, as required.

 

Undertake special studies as assigned and assume responsibility for results.

 

SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

For holding as confidential-information relating to personnel, wages, scope, nature and anticipated results of all studies and analyses, and all other information relating to the opera­tion of the Company.

 

CONTACTS,:

 

Contacts with managerial employees, supervisors and employes in T & D and other departments of the Company.- Occasionally with representatives of other companies or with persons out­side of the Company.
