TITLE:             INVESTOR SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
ORGANIZATION UNIT: Finance and Accounting

DUTIES:

Under direct but not constant supervision, to do clerical work requiring the exercise of care, accurate observation and the use of independent judgments in connection with stock and bond records; to maintain and balance internal accounting controls; to communicate with investors and their agents; to prepare and process dividend and interest payments, proxies, tax information, and stock purchase plan statements, to prepare and analyze reports; to do word processing, typing and other basic clerical functions; and to perform related work as required. In this connection, to perform details of work such as:

Maintain appropriate internal accounting controls, including the balancing of outstanding shares (and bond principal) and various financial accounts.

Research records and respond to inquiries from investors, bankers, brokers, attorneys, etc. by telephone, in writing and in person.

Handle payment, distribution and replacement of dividend and interest checks, bond coupons, sinking funds and redemptions, and electronic payments.

 

Process the transfer of stock and bonds, whether by certificate or book entry. This would also include the consolidation of accounts, and the replacement of lost certificates.

 

Perform daily activities of DRPIus or any other Company stock purchase plan assigned, including the processing of cash investments, the sale, issuance and deposit of shares, and the reinvestment of dividends.

 

Analyze computer generated reports. Compile data and prepare various reports.

Handle special projects such as escheatment, due diligence and locating lost investors.

 

Use the mainframe computer and/or personal computers to enter changes to investors' accounts and prepare cost bases and other information.

 

Perform clerical tasks such as typing, word processing, filing, etc. SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

For care in handling stock and bond certificates, checks and coupons, and items received from investors.

For holding as confidential information pertaining to investors' accounts and records, and information on financial, statistical or other data relating to operations of the Company.

For care when answering inquiries in connection with individual holdings of securities. For careful operation and use of office equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school or the equivalent. Completion of a course in typing or keyboarding. Must pass the standardized typing test.
