TITLE:       Environmental, Safety and Health Clerk ORGANIZATION: Environmental, Safety and Health APPLICABLE TO: Metropolitan Area

DUTIES:

Under indirect and intermittent supervision, to perform clerical, typing and data entry work of a complex degree. This work requires the use of independent judgment and responsibility in accordance with standard practices and procedures of the Company.

 

Accurately collect, enter, retrieve, review and revise data records in computer databases. Accurately review and process invoices.

 

Develop computer entry forms, computer databases and computer reports of a difficult and complex nature as assigned.

 

Maintain hardcopy and/or computer based procedures and processes.

 

Type letters, reports, memos, forms and related documents.

 

Maintain routine and special data files.

 

Make and distribute copies of reports and related documents.

 

Locate and/or extract information. from existing computer databases.

 

Perform routine servicing of office equipment.

 

Handle telephone inquiries and direct calls.

 

Perform calculations of a moderate to high degree of difficulty as required.

 

Generate visual aids for presentation and training purposes.

 

Format text for Internet/Intranet.

 

SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITES:

Demonstrate accuracy and precision in compiling, receiving and checking data and documents. Strict attention to detail in ensuring the correctness of database records and files.

 

Use and care of computers, printers, facsimile machines, typewriters and other office equipment.

 

Holding as confidential all information obtained in connection with departmental work and relating to Company business or personnel.

Environmental, Safety and Health Clerk Continued CONTACTS:

Personal or telephone contact with employees of other departments of the Company for the exchange of information.

 

Personal, telephone or correspondence with persons outside the Company. QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school.

 

Must successfully pass the Company's computer-typing test.

 

Must be proficient in the utilization of the following: relational databases, computer . spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
