Under direct but not constant supervision as assigned by Senior Credit Men, to assist Senior Credit Men in their work, completing routine matters and specific assignments permitting use of own judgment; and to perform related work as required. In this connection to perform details of work, such as:
Pass on the credit of users of residential and commercial service.
Pass on purchases of merchandise and appliancesand refer cases of questionable credit to Senior Credit Man or Supervisor.
Monthly, inspect customers' accounts with delinquentbalances as assigned by Senior Credit Man, designating the credit coding of delinquent accounts to be given collection treatment.
Determine collection action on final bills, or delinquent. merchandise accounts, and perform or institute necessary action by letter, telephone or field calls, referring larger items to Senior Credit Man.
Reviewing uncollected accounts which are past due and determine appropriate action.
Follow-up claims maintained in bankruptcy, receivership, or probate action.
Occasionally, use personal or Company automobile to contact customers.
Perform adjustment work as required, principally during peak periods.
SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
For care to avoid the ordering of erroneous disconnection of service to customers for non-payment of bills or failure to make surety deposits, and for promptly issuing orders to restore service which has previously been disconnected.
For holding as confidential information relating to customers' accounts.
For careful Ilse and custody of Company automobile.

For careful operation of personal or Company automobile to prevent injury to public.
CONTACTS:
With all kinds, types and classes of customers in handling credit,collection and adjustment matters; also occasionally with outside attorneys.
With supervisors and clerks in other departments and divisionsin connection with information relating to customer's accounts or service.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Occasionally required to go outside to make calls on customers;occasionally to drive personal or Company automobile in making such calls.
HAZARDS:
Risks involved in driving personal or Company automobile on occasional calls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation or the equivalent.
Four years of experience in the Customer Business Department.
Thorough knowledge of the credit and collection policies of theCompany; working knowledge of customers' accounts and records, rate schedules, and billing methods.
Should have a good command of English and be able to speak distinctly; be well groomed and neat in appearance at all times; have the tact and diplomacy essential for customer contacts incident to the job; be a capable letter writer.
