TITLE: ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL STORES CLERK ORGANIZATION: Stores Office

DUTIES:
Under general supervision to do specialized work requiring personal judgement and an understanding of material and supplies: to assist in the training new and present employees; on occasion act as a leader to relieve and assist personnel in subordinate grades; to assist in developing and installing procedures; to assist in the preparation of budgets; to prepare reports and statistics of a difficult and complex nature; and to do related work as required..In connection to assist in directing and to perform details of work such as:
Review central system records of usage and commitments for material not requiring detailed or high levels of analysis; adjust and revise ordering levels, assist in ordering material as assigned.
Prepare reports and statistics reflecting production and operations of various Stores Department groups, and analyze and explain reasons for variances.
Analyze and explain variations of accounts and budget reports. Review and edit standard description formulas.
Correspond or otherwise contact material using departments by letter, telephone or personally, concerning utilization of material, equipment, spare parts and supplies.
Provide assistance in regards to availability of materials. Do other recurring and non-recurring work as required. SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
For holding as confidential, information pertaining to budgets, departmental costs, pricing, kind and quantity of materials on hand and personnel.
For care when establishing order points to avoid excessive or insufficient quantities.
CONTACTS:
Personal and telephone contacts with employees of Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Purchasing and other departments of the Company.
Contacting suppliers and following up for deliveries.
Graduation from high school or the equivalent; with at least 18 semester credit hours of business related courses from an accredited university, college or correspondence school. At least 6 semester credit hours should be courses in Accounting or Finance.
Experience of three years in Stores work, one year as a Senior Stock Control Clerk.
