Senior Clerk-Stenographer Demotion
New Job Classification - Training Clerk
The Company has determined that, at the current time, it has no need for a Senior Clerk-Stenographer (G-12) in the Promotional Series, Technical Services Area 1, Division 15. Therefore, as per the Article 12 Section 20 - Employees Demoted on Account of Changes in Operating Methods or Procedures or Due to Lack of Work, Ms. Wheatley will be demoted to the Senior Stenographer position (G-10) on a protected rate.Local Management has reevaluated the duties being performed by Ms. Menke and has determined that they do not fall within her present position of Senior Stenographer (G-10). Therefore, per Article 7 Section 2 - New or Revised Jobs, the Company has prepared a new job specification for the position of Training Clerk (job #3818). This new job specification shall become effective upon the signing of this agreement.
Ms. Menke will follow her current work into this new position and be reclassified as a Training Clerk. Ms Menke's pay will be adjusted to reflect that she has been performing the Training Clerk (G-12) duties for the last 20 working days.
The Training Clerk position (job #3818) will be placed in the revised Promotional Series Information Technology Area 1, Division 15. The Microfilm Equipment Operator position (job #4903) will be eliminated.
This agreement is being reached on a non-precedent setting basis and will not be used by either party to support its position in any future case.
